Accounting/Payroll Clerk

Duties

  • Prepare payroll for our client companies on Intuit Quickbook software.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual Federal and State payroll reports for our client companies.
  • Resolve discrepancies with IRS and EDD.
  • Work with accountant to prepare client’s accounting work.
  • Additional duties not listed but within the scope of this position.

Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum experience as Bookkeeper, including payroll processing or A.A. degree in Business Administration.
  • Computer skills:
  • High proficiency in QuickBooks Pro 2005 or higher.
  • Proficient in Excel, entering data into and formatting spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of WordPerfect is a plus, knowledge of Word is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Windows navigation and Outlook is a must.
  • Must know how to PDF documents and use e-mail for delivery.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal and State payroll tax rules and reporting requirements is required.
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written is a must.
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check.
Compensation: $2,600 - $3,000 per month or open to negotiation based upon experience.
